Currently, Ashford serves as the advisor to two NYSE-listed real estate investment trusts, Ashford Hospitality Trust (NYSE: AHT) and Braemar Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: BHR). Ashford also has a Hospitality Products and Services initiative, where we strategically invest in operating companies that service the industry, and we act as an accelerator to grow those companies, through both our advised platforms and other third parties.
Ashford Trust is focused on investing predominantly in upper upscale, full-service hotels. Braemar's strategy is to invest in luxury hotels and resorts. Combined, Ashford Trust and Braemar Hotels & Resorts currently own 75 hotels with more than 19,000 rooms and have approximately $6.1 billion in gross assets.
